Final Score: Tosa West 3, Racine Horlick 2
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Tosa West Trojans hosted the Racine Horlick Rebels for a non-conference matchup at Breitlow Field.
The first five innings were an offensive stalemate, with both teams kept completely quiet at the plate. The deadlock finally broke in the top of the 6th when the Rebels strung together two hits to drive in the first two runs of the game. After their eventful turn at bat, Racine shut down Tosa West in the bottom of the frame to maintain a 2-0 lead.
In the top of the 7th, Trojans starting pitcher Aaron Prusko quickly recorded two outs. However, after running into some late trouble, he was pulled from the mound. Prusko turned in a stellar performance, finishing his day with 98 pitches thrown over 6 2/3 innings, allowing just three hits, one walk, and two runs (one earned) while racking up 8 strikeouts.
Jackson McWalter relieved Prusko in the top of the 7th, needing just one more out to escape the inning. Though McWalter initially battled some command issues, he dialed it in before any damage could be done. He closed out the top half of the inning with 14 pitches thrown over $\frac{1}{3}$ of an inning, giving up zero hits and zero runs while issuing two walks.
Trailing 2-0, the Trojans down to their final three outs in the bottom of the 7th. Refusing to go quietly, the Tosa West offense rallied, combining a series of hits and walks to tie the game at 2-2.
With the winning run on base, third baseman Layne Guardiola stepped up to the plate. Guardiola worked a deep at-bat before slicing a ground ball through the 3-4 hole (between first and second base) for a walk-off single.
With the thrilling 3-2 victory, Jackson McWalter secured the win, bringing the Trojans’ season record to 3-16.
