On Friday June 3, 2011, Wauwatosa had the chance to Wauwatosa West students perform at the annual “Westock” music event. Those attending Weststock were treated to live music, a variety of songs ranging from the Beatles to Train, professional quality lighting and staging effects.

The event is organized and run by a West Junior or Senior with a faculty adviser. The event was popular last year, but seemed to be less so this year.

Getting up on stage to perform for others is something that not everybody can do. According to Sophomore drummer, Daniel Frens “we [his brother and him] thought it would be fun. It’s fun to play with your friends. You get to know a lot of people.”
