Tosa West sophomore Jake Hansen is looking forward to the new season and taking steps to build trust and connection between members of the new squad.

“I’m expecting to not only help lead this team, but to produce at the level I know I’m capable of” said Hansen.

In order to prepare for the season, the team benefits from making connections off the court by getting food after practice and spending as much time playing basketball together to understand each others game

”Just spending a lot of quality time together off the court and getting to know each other’s game” said Hansen.

Although the leading scoring seniors have graduated, the team has a lot of players that have to step up and lead this team.

Wauwatosa West lost in scrimmage to Kettle Moraine 76-59 on Saturday, November 19th.  However, the team howcased great ball movement, defense and pushing the tempo up and down the court.   See highlight of each team here.

On November 26th, Wauwatosa West lost to Verona 68 to 67.  You can see that game here.

On November 30th, Wauwatosa West won their home non-conference game against Waukesha South by a score of 55 to 53.  You can see that game here.

Despite the loss to Kettle Moraine and Verona, Hansen is upbeat about the upcoming season.

“Obviously we are returning a lot of skilled guys, and we all have improved from last season. But I am also very confident in our newcomers. We all share a common goal this season and we all play very well together.”
