During a 2018 trip to the Pacific Northwest the stars aligned for me to take a picture of the legendary Haystack Rock with a smooth reflection from the heavy rain the night before. I had planned to get up early to capture the sunrise but was pleasantly surprised by the scene I found on the beach, the timely swimmer sprinting towards the surf added an extra layer to my photograph, comments Decker.
