“I enjoy fantasy football very much because I am a competitive person, I don’t like to lose and that just isn’t an option for me,” says Wauwatosa West Social Studies teacher, Rob Kalpinski.
Fantasy football is a game that anyone can play, even if you don’t know anything about football. Most leagues can be started on ESPN or CBS. Rob Kalpinski plays in a standard scoring system league on ESPN with Chad Mateske, Patrick Guse and Dan Prothero etc.
“To be successful in fantasy football you have to have a little luck, you have to get guys that are going to get more touches over targets and finally you have to have a good Quarterback,” says Rob Kalpinski.
“I believe to be successful in fantasy football you have to have a good Quarterback, one good running back and one good wide receiver,” says Wauwatosa West Senior, Brian Carlson.
Fantasy football changes the way football fans watch the game.
“It changes how I watch the game totally. I focus on how certain players do, rather than a team concept,” says Whitman Middle School sixth grader, Danny Belknapp.
Fantasy football is for anyone out there who is looking to compete and have fun. Some people say that only true NFL football fans are allowed to play fantasy football.
“The culture of fantasy football has gone to a progressively darker place. There are hardly any acknowledgement, he said, that this is a game for nerds,” says Chris Wesseling, a senior N.F.L. editor at rotoworld.com.
Fantasy football is the most addicting game online today. People that become addicted to fantasy football put that before anything else they do. If their line-up isn’t set, then you have to get that in or you are going to be missing a player in a certain spot.
