Tosa West Orchestra will hold its 23rd annual Kinderkonzert on Saturday, December 4th.

The Wauwatosa West Orchestra will perform short lively holiday music for an audience of children under 10 and their adult caregivers at its 23rd annual Kinderkonzert on Saturday, December 4th.

Performances will be held at 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM in the Wauwatosa West Auditorium.  Each performance will be followed by COVID appropriate crafting activities and snacks in the school auditorium

Admission is free. Masks are required for all attendees which is consistent with the Wauwatosa School District policy.

After a year hiatus, the orchestra has come together to prepare this holiday event.

“I’m really relieved to have it because this is the 23rd annual kinderkonzert. It is a holiday tradition for a lot of families in the area,” said Wauwatosa West Orchestra director Tiffany Chang.

The last Kinderkozert was held in 2019.  The 2020 Kinderkonzert was held virtually due to COVID19 restrictions.

The impact of cancelling the concert was a concern.

“It’s something that I think if we put it off for another year, it starts to go out of the public consciousness, they start to forget that it’s an event and to come back from that is difficult.” said Chang.

This event is also something that the students look forward to participating in.
