Wauwatosa west senior Rachel Eckes helps with a craft at a past multi-cultural fair. “It’s really fun. They got to both learn about the actual history of the project and it’s a beautiful art craft.” Says Eckes. The 2019 multi-cultural fair will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Admission is free, with food available for purchase at the event.

The 10th annual Multi-Cultural Fair will be held on November 20th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wauwatosa West.

The fair will be a celebration of different cultures from around the world.

“We’ve been planning different cultures to represent at our fair, especially ones that have a bigger population at West.” Said Junior Maddie Bishop.

Food and crafts from around the globe will be featured, along with dance and musical performances and cultural booths.

In past years, the event has been held in the spring, but this year, the organizers decided to have it in the fall.

Plenty of students and staff have worked diligently to ensure the success of the fair.  “We’ve been meeting as a committee for the past, I’d say, month or so.” Said Bishop.

This year’s fair will feature a bake shop, which is a new feature. A few students are planning a dance and henna tattoos will also be offered.

“I think that it’s a really cool place to see a lot of the representation of different cultures at West.” said Bishop.
