Grease

Wauwatosa West travels back to the 1950’s this November as the Tosa West Trojan Players perform their fall production Grease.

70 students are performing as part of the cast- anyone from freshman to seniors, or beginners in theatre to students who already have several productions under their belt are performing.

“I love theatre in general and it’s always fun to be involved,” says Freshman Krista Laszewski, who is participating in her first show at West.

Grease also marks Sophomore David Rothfels’ third production as a high-schooler. “I am a loyal and devoted Trojan Player and I just love performing,” he says.

However, theatre here at Tosa West doesn’t necessarily just mean acting. Grease features twenty students participating in technical production. Junior Kenna Gallegos-Roll says “I like being able to be creative in crew,”

Grease also contains several unique props and sets, “There’s even a real life car, and it’s really cool,” says stagehand Noah Suchy.

Director Adam Steffan chose the the throwback musical for many reasons, “It can have a large cast, popular, there’s lots of ways to engage the community with the production, and it’s just fun,” He says

Steffan also adds, ”Grease is the word,”

The performance dates are November 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 7 pm, and November 9 at 2 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, $10 for students with an activity pass, $10 for seniors with a gold pass, and $8 for kids 10 and under. There is also a special one night only show Thursday November 15 at 7 pm where tickets are $5. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at www. TrojanPlayers.com.
