The Wauwatosa West Concert band is bringing some new friends home for the holidays to help them perform at their annual holiday concert. The regular orchestra will be joined by two drummers, two synthesizers, a bass guitar, a full laser light show and a variety of stage effects.
“We will become the worlds largest rock band for a night” said band conductor Guy Kammerer.
The Wauwatosa West Concert band will perform a variety of holiday arrangements from the well known pop group, Mannheim Steamroller on Tuesday, December 18th. The program will include Carol of the Bells, Faeries, Veni Veni, Deck the Halls, and other holiday selections.
“I think that its cool west is trying to make shows better with special effects in their performances.” Sophomore Dominic Longo said.
The Michael Grassman production company will be providing all components for the stage show. The show will include lasers, smoke, LED lights and computerized lighting.
The purpose of the special effects is to enhance music and provide the audience with a powerful experience.
The concert will be held in the Wauwatosa West High School auditorium. Wauwatosa West High School is located at 11400 W Center Street. Tickets cost $4 for adults, $2 for students or free with activity pass and free for seniors.
