FROZEN OPENING NIGHT – Wauwatosa West’s Trojan Players commenced their production of “Frozen: The Broadway Musical” yesterday, November 10th.
“It was phenomenal. From the tech aspect, to the singing and everything in between, it was just amazing,” says senior Maddie Dee. “It is hard to think that it was just a high school production.”
Wauwatosa West is the only Wisconsin high school that has been granted the rights to Frozen. This was through the United States of Frozen: Love Is an Open Door contest.
“The cast, crew, and pit of Frozen is an incredible group of students who are so excited about the opportunity to be the only high school in Wisconsin to perform Frozen. We are thrilled to have received this honor and are honored to produce this pilot production,” said Director Adam Steffan.
November 10th was declared “Frozen Day” by Mayor Dennis R. McBride, who spoke at an assembly with Principal Corey Golla and Superintendent Demond Means. Local donut shop Cranky’s also produced a commemorative donut, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the Trojan Players.
Tickets were sold out on October 24th.
