The IBA season is just around the corner and excitement is in the air.
IBA is an Intramural Basketball League for Wauwatosa West students. The games take place on Thursday nights. It allows students to compete and have fun.
“I think that students are excited for the season because it’s a chance students get to interact with one another outside or the ‘educational’ environment,” said IBA co-Commissioner Nick Koepke.
According to Koepke, IBA provides students with a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of competition.
“Everyone likes to complete and call themselves the best,” said Koepke. “IBA gives students the chance to excel in a sport that they might not have had the chance to before.”
Having fun, hanging out, and winning bragging rights are the three things that make IBA so popular. Everyone wants to be able to call themselves the best.
A survey of random subjects provided an interesting perspective on this year’s teams and atmosphere. Subjects were allowed to vote for one or more players or teams that they thought would provide stiff competition in IBA this year.
