The World Travelers Club will host an informational meeting on September 30th at 6:00 PM in the Wauwatosa West Steiner Center in the library.
Students and parents will be able to get more information about the club and their next trip to Spain, Greece, Italy, France and Switzerland in June 2027. In June 2025, the club travelled for 9 days to Greece and Italy.
“I think people should join because traveling is a great way to expand your world and mind. Learn about people who are different from you.” said Science teacher Tess Stahler.
One of the downsides when people usually go on vacation is that they usually don’t know anyone and that could limit the amount of fun you could have. But when you go with this club you are surrounded with people you know and friends that you spend all day with.
“You are not only exploring a new country, but you are doing it with your peers and friends. A lot of people it is their first time travelling and it is a shared bonding experience. A lot of the people on the trip I hadn’t talked to but they became good friends.” said Senior Alli Baker
One of the advantages of participating is the entire trip is completely planned by EF Educational Tours. All aspects of travel are organized by the group. This includes hotels, transportation and tour guides in the major sites.
“But on top of that in the world travelers club it provides experiences and opportunities that are not always easy to plan on your own because it’s already planned for as we go and we meet a guide who leads us” said Science teacher Tess Stahler.
While students join the club, teachers can also join to plan the vacation. Teachers that have gone on the trip previously include Mrs.Tess Mrs.Kong and even Mr.Golla.
“When I heard that Mr Golla was on the trip I was pretty nervous. But it was really fun. He was just there to have a good time. He was obviously there to keep us safe and we had curfews and rules to follow, but I didn’t feel restricted by the teachers being there. “ Said Baker
