The Wauwatosa West and East boys varsity baseball teams will compete in the annual cross town rivalry at Breitlow Field on Thursday, May 8th at 5:00 pm. They last competed on Tuesday, May 6th which resulted in a 5-10 Tosa East win.
The Trojan boys are currently 9th in the Greater Metro conference with a 0-11 conference record and are currently 0-13 on the season. They are looking for their first win in this heated rivalry as they take on the Red Raiders, who are 3-13 (3-10 in conference play) and are currently in 7th place in the conference.
A player to watch for on the West side is Senior Jack Weber, who is leading the team in batting average (.385), slugging percentage (.462), hits (15), and runs batted in (5).
Both the Trojans and the Red Raiders are coming off of tough losses from Menomonee Falls. The Raiders game ended in a 11-0 loss and the Trojans weren’t able to claw their way back from a 10-0 final score.
The Trojans are looking to capture their first win on Thursday, and hopefully many more throughout the rest of the season.
