“Tosa West Talks” is the newly launched podcasting platform for the Tosa West Tosa Compass journalism program. 

In our first series called “What’s Your Thing”, we focus on talking with students who have a specific and intense passion, interest or “thing” happening in their lives. Through these conversations, we learn more about what students are interested in and what motivates their drive, passion and dedication.

Our first guest in this seven minute episode is junior, two time state-qualifying diver Jessica Thompson. The ex-gymnast humbly brings attention to the diving program and their achievements that are often overlooked.

“My goal this year was just to make it to state because there’s never been a female diver from Wauwatosa West that’s made it to state.”

Jessica shares insider stories about the diving team, as well as her personal experiences and challenges.

Tosa West juniors Evelyn Davis, Emmersen Weber, and Devin Long created this podcast to be a platform for peers and faculty to share their hobbies, school experiences, and provide insight on what makes the people of Tosa West unique.  

These casual and quick episodes will be full of lighthearted conversation for any listener to enjoy, all while learning new things about the school.
