The Wauwatosa West Boys Football team will play the Homestead High School Highlanders, the number one seed in the sectional, on Friday, November 5th at 7:00 PM at Homestead High School.  Tickets are 7 dollars with a 1 dollar service fee and are available on-line  only or with a credit card or Apple Pay at the gate.

For the first time in 37 years the Wauwatosa West Trojans have won in the playoffs, defeating Brookfield East and Germantown Highschool.  The Trojans will be faced up against the number 1 seed in their sectional Homestead Highschool in the most important game of the year so far.

The Trojans are faced with many challenges for tonight’s game. For the last couple of weeks the Trojans have been fighting back injuries, sidelining key players.

“As a team we’re very confident we can pull through and win it all to be honest. It hurts that we have players out due to injuries, and I know it hurts them more to not be able to play, but we have been preparing as a team to win and that’s what we plan to do” said Senior Nick Barton

The Trojans have made history in this year’s playoffs and they hope to be able to do it again

“That’s a good feeling and all but it will be an even better feeling making history two times and winning state. Right now that’s all we’re focused on, we’ve come too far to lose now” said senior Avery Dixon.

In regards to changes in the lineup, the Trojans are not risking anything and have decided to stick with what they know best.

“No adjustments have been made, Kolstad is very confident in the team and our offense and defense,” said Barton.

The team is ready to go, spirits are high, and they are excited to showcase their talents on the field tonight.

“We’ve been studying film and I honestly think we’re ready we want it!” said Dixon.
